Musical Director
Chris Green
Chris is a musical director, choir leader and pianist who loves bringing people together through music. With many years’ experience in community and education settings, she enjoys creating inspiring musical experiences where singers of all ages and abilities feel included, involved and able to enjoy their singing.
As Musical Director of Rangeworthy Singers, Chris values the shared experience of singing and creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone can explore music, learn from each other and enjoy the connection that comes from being part of a choir.
Chris led the John Wesley New Room Choir during the summer term of 2026 and will return as Musical Director from September. She also accompanies The Filtones, a daytime choir for older singers, as well as Bristol Male Voice Choir and Frampton Cotterell Male Voice Choir. Working with such a variety of ensembles allows Chris to enjoy the different character and energy that each group brings to live music-making.
Chris brings extensive experience in music education, performance and event production. As Planning & Production Director for the National Children’s Orchestras, she led the delivery of performances at major UK venues. Previously, as Education Manager at Bristol Beacon – Music Hub, she coordinated music education programmes and large-scale concerts across the city.
A dedicated pianist and accompanist, Chris has spent many years supporting musicians of all ages. She loves the energy, enjoyment and sense of community that come from making music with others.
